Fraud Protection
How we protect you from scams, unauthorised access and fraudulent activity.
Fraud Protection
VZro uses multi-layered fraud prevention to protect you from unauthorised activity, scams, and financial crime. We combine real-time analytics, AI-driven risk scoring, and strong authentication to keep your accounts, payments and data safe.
Real-Time Fraud Monitoring
Every login, transaction and security-sensitive action is analysed for unusual patterns. We use behavioural analytics, device fingerprinting, geo-location checks and anomaly detection to spot potential fraud before it impacts you.
- Continuous monitoring of transactions and account events
- Detection of unusual spending, device changes and IP / location anomalies
- Dynamic risk scoring that adapts to your normal behaviour over time
Account Takeover Protection
We actively defend against account takeover attempts by combining device intelligence, Strong Customer Authentication (where applicable) and step-up verification whenever risk signals are high.
- Detection of rapid or unusual login attempts
- Alerts and additional checks for new devices and high-risk sessions
- Automatic account locks and user notifications when serious risk is identified
Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)
We apply Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) in line with regulatory expectations. This typically means using at least two factors from different categories:
- Knowledge – something you know (password, passcode)
- Possession – something you have (trusted device, security token)
- Inherence – something you are (biometrics such as fingerprint or Face ID)
Financial Crime & AML Controls
We apply Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) and sanctions controls designed to prevent VZro from being used to facilitate financial crime.
- Customer due diligence and identity verification (KYC)
- Enhanced checks for higher-risk customers and PEPs
- Sanctions and watchlist screening
- Real-time transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting where required by law
Protection From Scams and Social Engineering
Many fraud cases begin with social engineering, not technology. That’s why we proactively help you recognise and avoid scams such as investment fraud, authorised push payment scams, romance scams and impersonation attacks.
- In-app warnings for risky payments and unusual recipient patterns
- Educational content on investment, romance, employment and impersonation scams
- Cooling-off measures and extra checks where a payment appears to be high-risk
We will never ask you to share your passcode, full password or one-time codes with anyone – including us. If someone asks for these details, assume it is fraud and contact us immediately.
